Currently, Urinary Surgery Department has more than 50 medical technicians, including 5 chief surgeons and 7 deputy chief surgeons. It has advanced facilities and high treatment level, including two large wards and a urinary calculus center with 82 beds. The outpatient department consists of a urinary surgery operating room, an examination room, an outpatient surgical treatment room, a cystoscopy room, an extracorporeal shock wave treatment room, a physical stone expulsion room, a urodynamic examination room. Also, special investment is made to build a department for men's medicine, with each examination room fully equipped.

Wenzhou People's Hospital has strong clinical strength in urinary surgery, focusing on the development of minimally invasive technology, diagnosing and treating various urinary surgery diseases, especially calculi, prostate diseases, tumors, difficult and complicated diseases, and helping associate hospitals in counties and cities to carry out a wide range of surgeries. Multi-endoscope combined lithotripsy is widely performed to guide patients to prevent postoperative stones. In 2017, our hospital cooperated with Xu Danfeng team of Shanghai Ruijin Hospital to carry out transurethral prostate electrocision, comprehensively solving the treatment problem of complex urinary stones and prostatic hyperplasia. Our hospital independently carry out laparoscopic technology, complete the laparoscopic surgical resection of the main urological tumours.
